Cody – Rodeo

Thursday 26/07 (2/2)

We arrive in Cody, Wyoming, around 5:30pm. It’s the capital of rodeo and of Buffalo Bill.

We check into our motel and then head straight into town to attend the ‘shootout’ in front of the Irma hotel, at 6pm. It lasts one hour; it’s not great.

We head back to the motel where we rest for 30’ before heading to the Stampede Rodeo, which starts at 8pm.

It’s a great local show. We always enjoy attending these kinds of local events to experience the local life. There are a lot of local tourists.

The food is not great; there’s really nothing that looks good. We share 2 hot dogs with chips.

At the beginning of the show, the speaker asks “are there any people from California?”. A few people in the audience say “yes” and the speaker then says “welcome to America!”.

The show is very diverse and entertaining. We enjoy it.

It lasts 2 hours.

We are back at the hotel a little before 10:30pm.

Isabelle and I read in our bed, until 11:30pm; we share a room with the children.
