Monday 06/08
We leave a little after 9am.
We go to the Museum of Science by car. Despite the fact that I booked for the wrong date we’re still allowed in.
Very interesting first exhibition at 10:15am: energy Chicago.
Then Pixar at 11:20am.
At 12:45pm we go to Robie House, on foot. Visit at 1:20pm. Designed by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright, the structure is often cited as the best example of the Prairie style. It’s a Unersco World Heritage Site.
We go to eat at Aloha Poke, on foot. Jules now insists to go and eat at Poke; great!
We return to the museum on foot.
We stay from 4 to 5pm. We see the Innovation exhibition.
We go to Northerly Island for a nice view of the Chicago skyline.
We go to Millennium Park to show the Bean to the children. There is a minimum parking charge of 28$. I stay in the car. It is quite an expensive day today (more than 200$ for the visits + Airbnb & car of course).
We have dinner at Gibson’s. Great steaks. Thanks Anuraag for the recommandation.
We are back home around 9pm.
We pack our bags (we are leaving for NYC tomorrow morning).
Jules is not feeling well.
I prepare our stay in NYC until 1am. It is the last leg of our journey…
