Saturday 04/08
We wake up around 8:30am.
Florence and Jules are coming back from their camp today!
We pick them up at 10:45am, not too far from home. They really enjoyed it. We’re proud of them.
We eat a salad for lunch, at home.
Isabelle goes to wash the car at a carwash while I prepare our stay in NYC. I tried to book tickets for Shakira in Chicago (her concert was yesterday) but couldn’t find reasonably priced tickets (the cheapest ticket was at 200$, for poorly located seats). I’ll try in NYC (in the Madison Center; can be great!).
Isabelle and I go to walk on the 606 Trail. It’s a nice elevated path. In 2015, the City of Chicago converted the former Bloomingdale railway line to an elevated greenway. This 606 Trail brings together elevated trails for bikers and runners, art installations, and landscape design to create an urban oasis and a new way to explore.
We return to the car by bike (Divvy).
We go back home to take Jules and Florence to the beach. We swim in the Michigan Lake; it’s a popular spot.
We go home and eat there (pasta, chicken and tomato sauce).
I prepare our stay in NYC until 1:30am. Among others, I tried to visit urban farms but there are no visits during our stay (neither at Square Roots not at Gotham Greens).
